TOKYO — Brunswick has launched a new Tokyo operation, bringing to six the number of offices the firm has across Asia.
The office is Brunswick’s first in Japan, despite the firm’s decade-plus working with Japanese companies as well as international organizations with a presence there. The firm has more than 15 Japan experts operating out of the US, Europe and Asia.
“Our Tokyo team will continue to work seamlessly with experienced Japanese speaking advisors in three different time zones and Brunswick’s global sector and offer experts to provide around-the-clock strategic advice to clients,” said Brunswick partner Daisuke Tsuchiya (pictured), the firm’s London-based head of Japan. “This positions us to support Japanese companies in the most complex and intensive situations they face overseas, and non-Japanese companies for critical issues they face in Japan.”
The launch of the office builds on Brunswick’s presence in Asia, in which the firm has been operating since 2004. The agency’s other Asian offices are in Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Singapore and India.
Said CEO Neal Wolin: “Over the past decade, we have been privileged to advise some of Japan’s largest and most exciting businesses in crucial situations abroad, as well as international companies expanding their footprint in Japan. Building on the strong momentum the team has developed already, our Tokyo office will significantly enhance our capabilities in the region and allow Brunswick to serve even more clients in Japan and internationally.”
