NEW YORK — Jeanmarie McFadden and Jonathan Doorley have been named co-heads of Brunswick Group’s New York office, succeeding Maria Figueroa Kupcu who will focus on client work after six years at the helm.

McFadden co-leads the global financial institution sector team at Brunswick, which she joined in 2019 after a career working in comms on Wall Street. Before joining the firm, McFadden was MetLife’s chief communications officer. She held senior leadership roles at Credit Suisse and Morgan Stanley, where she rose to be global head of corporate affairs.

Doorley is co-lead of Brunswick’s financial situations practice group, working with clients on M&A, shareholder activism and other capital market matters. Before joining Brunswick in 2017, Doorley was a partner at Sard Verbinnen & Co.

Kupcu, meantime, will work full-time on client advisory with a focus on Brunswick’s business & society and DEI practice groups.

New York is the largest of Brunswick’s six offices in the Americas with a headcount of more than 200.

“Jeanmarie and Jonathan are exceptional client advisors with proven leadership expertise. As our New York office continues to grow at pace, widening and strengthening our capabilities for clients, I am thrilled they will lead the office into its next chapter,” CEO Neal Wolin said.

“I want to thank Maria for her outstanding contribution as head of the New York office, which has grown substantially under her leadership. She hands over to Jeanmarie and Jonathan a more vibrant and successful office than ever. As a full-time client advisor, Maria will bring her considerable expertise to bear for clients on a range of critical issues at the intersection of business and society,” he said.
