Porter-Novelli is running some interesting analytics that focus on the social media conversation generated by the Cannes Lions festival. Israel Mirsky, the firm's EVP of emerging media and technology, has very kindly supplied us with today's data. It offers a useful snapshot of what people are talking about, which is largely Twitter-driven. In terms of agencies, BBDO, JWT, McCann, and DDB led in overall brand attention yesterday while the most talked about campaigns were American Rom, Coca-Cola Friendship Machine, Jay-Z Decoded, and Silent National Anthem. The most popular sessions yesterday in terms of social media mentions were TED (Starcom MediaVest), Robert Redford (Yahoo!),  and Angry Birds (Hill & Knowlton). Interestingly, Arianna Huffington's session from Monday was still receiving a great deal of buzz yesterday.
