NORDBORG, DENMARK — Carlsberg’s PR lead Kasper Elbjørn is joining Danish multinational technology and engineering company Danfoss as vice president and head of communications.

For the past five years, Elbjørn has been director of external communications for the Carlsberg brewing group, where he led global communications including brand PR and sustainability. He was previously head of group communications for Copenhagen-based trading and investment fintech Saxo Bank.

Elbjørn will join Danfoss on April 1, reporting to Martin Rossen, SVP and head of group communications and reputation, who said: “I know Kasper as a team player with a very high level of integrity, intellectual curiosity, and a good sense of humor. With his international experience and global communication skills, I am certain he can help further strengthen Danfoss’ reputation as an innovative technology leader, globally. I am very excited to have him join my team.”

In his new role, Elbjørn will lead internal and external communications with the aim of strengthening Danfoss’ position as a leading supplier of sustainable and energy-saving technologies, including products that reduce energy consumption in buildings and emissions in construction machinery.

Elbjørn said: “The past five years at Carlsberg were truly enriching and a great experience, both from a personal and a professional perspective. Now it’s time for me to move on and take up a new challenge. Danfoss is a world-leading technology partner to customers in many industries all over the world, and sustainability is a key part of its DNA. I am excited to join a company that has such a huge potential to make a real difference for the climate and the way we use energy.”

Danfoss head of media relations Mikkel Thrane continues in his current role, reporting to Elbjørn and Rossen.
