LONDON — Cybersecurity firm Netacea has extended its partnership with technology specialist CCgroup, appointing the agency team to lead its PR in the US as well as the UK.

CCgroup started working with Netacea in the UK in 2019 after a competitive pitch, and has now extended its brief to the US, as well as increasing its European investment. The account is now believed to be worth well into six figures.

The agency has been tasked with driving awareness of Netacea amongst security decision makers in the US retail, financial services, entertainment, travel and telecoms sectors, as well as educating the market on the benefits of bot protection.

Netacea provides bot management tools that distinguishes bots from humans to protect customers’ websites, mobile apps and APIs from malicious bots such as data and content scraping, credential stuffing – cyberattacks in which stolen lists of user names and passwords are used to gain unauthorised access to accounts through large-scale automated login requests – and account takeover. Its Intent Analytics engine, powered by machine learning, is used by clients including fashion retailer All Saints and credit scoring firm ClearScore.

CCgroup’s deputy head of enterprise technology Florie Lhuillier said: “With bots making up over half of all internet traffic, organisations need to make sure they have the right solution in place to identify a good bot from a bad one and mitigate unwanted traffic. We are very excited to be working with a company dedicated to helping organisations find and prevent the most sophisticated threats malicious bots can generate.”

Netacea CTO Andy Still added: “It was crucial for us to partner with an agency that shares our passion for delivering quality work, understands the market and that is able to help establish us as an authority in the cyber security space globally.”
