LONDON — Managed data services provider Calligo has selected UK-based CCgroup as its PR agency in the US and the UK, after a three-way competitive pitch involving two US agencies.

Calligo is backed by Investcorp and has made four acquisitions of other managed service providers (MSPs) this year; it completed its first UK acquisition, Network Integrity Services, last week.

The firm, which is headquartered in Jersey and has a presence in Canada, Luxembourg and Ireland as well as the US and the UK, works with business across the media and entertainment, technology, healthcare and financial services sectors, and is a verified partner of Microsoft, VMware, Intel and Lenovo.

Three of CCgroup’s US team, which the agency set up in 2017, will be working on the account, believed to be worth six figures annually. The agency has been tasked with driving awareness and understanding of Calligo among IT, security and compliance decision makers.

Calligo CMO Will Gardiner said: “It was important for us to partner with an agency that shares our passion for the potential of data and insights, understands the markets we operate in and that is able to help establish us as an authority in the data privacy and security space and the MSP industry on both sides of the Atlantic.”

At CCgroup, deputy head of enterprise technology Florie Lhuillier said: “With enterprises undergoing years’ worth of transformation in a matter of months due to the pandemic and moving to the cloud more aggressively, ensuring data privacy and security has never been more important. We are very excited to be working with a company dedicated to helping organisations to use data safer while supporting performance, innovation and growth.”
