LONDON — Citizen Relations has handed Asia-Pacific leadership duties to Mark Cater, extending his remit beyond his existing oversight of Europe, India, the Middle East and Africa (EIMEA).

Cater, who is based in London, will also continue to lead Citizen's global P&G business; the firm is one of the 'G5' agencies that the FMCG giant consolidated its global PR business with last year.

The move comes as Chris Chamberlin departs the firm to become sustainability manager for the U2 Joshua Tree Tour. Chamberlin, who joined Citizen in 2008, previously led the firm's US operations before relocating to Hong Kong to oversee its Asia-Pacific expansion in late 2015. His exit means that Citizen will now move its Asia-Pacific HQ to Singapore.

Citizen is owned by BlueFocus, which acquired its parent company Vision7 in 2014.
