LONDON — International spirits business Quintessential Brands has appointed Clarion Communications as its first UK trade media relations agency.

The agency's brief is to help to increase visibility within the drinks trade of Quintessential Brands and its portfolio of premium brands, which include Bloom and Greenall’s gin and Dubliner Irish whiskey, through an integrated communications plan.

Quintessential Brands communications director Lucy Richardson said: “Over the past 10 years we’ve been right at the heart of the gin boom and established strong foundations in Irish whiskey and Irish creams, while developing strong relationships with customers across the world.

"As we enter a new era, we are delighted to have Clarion on board to help us to build greater awareness for both our fantastic portfolio of premium brands and the capabilities we have that make us an indispensable spirits partner to the trade. The Clarion team have great relationships with the trade media, a good understanding of the industry and a real enthusiasm for the business, so I’m delighted to have their support and look forward to seeing what we can achieve together.”

Clarion Communications CEO Amanda Meyrick added: “Clarion’s wealth of experience in the drinks industry makes us the tonic to Quintessential Brands’ gins, not to mention the many other spirits categories in which they are present. We’re thrilled to be working with Quintessential Brands and look forward to bringing the campaign to life.”

Earlier this year, Quintessential Brands appointed Splendid Communications as its integrated agency for Greenall's gin.
