LONDON—CNC has promoted Oliver Mann to managing director of its London office, following its merger with sibling agency Capital MSL last year.

Mann takes on the role after eight years with the consultancy. Prior to the merger he had overseen CNC's London operations with CNC co-founder and managing partner Roland Klein and CNC partner Kevin Soady.

The merger leaves the London office of CNC with more than 40 consultants, working across financial and corporate communications, reputation management, crisis and issues management, and internal and change communications.

Together with the London-based partners, Mann will be responsible for further strengthening CNC’s operations and advisory capabilities. While advising clients will remain his primary focus, he will also be taking additional management responsibilities, including oversight of human resources.

Mannspecialises in corporate communications, crisis and reputation management. At the beginning of 2013, he also spent seven months supporting the media relations and communications at Oyu Tolgoi, a large copper and gold mining project in Mongolia, managed and owned by Rio Tinto.
