LONDON--College Hill has snapped up Hill + Knowlton's Tim Fallon to head the firm's corporate practice.

Fallon departs H+K after eight years with the firm. For the past two years he has served as head of corporate and international affairs at the WPP agency.

At College Hill he will become managing partner of a corporate practice that has doubled in size over the last four years. Fallon’s previous roles include managing director of public affairs at H+K, head of public and community affairs at J Sainsbury and a period in a senior communications role at BAA.

Former College Hill corporate head, Chris Woodcock, who sold her own consultancy into College Group in 2008, will remain a managing partner, advising the firm’s wider business communications practices, leading on senior coaching and risk management assignments and retaining involvement in key clients.

“Timing is everything, and we are very excited that Tim joins us at the start of a further period of rapid growth, planned for both the corporate practice and the wider wroup," said College Group chief executive Richard Nichols.

"Our corporate offer, spanning reputation management, crisis and risk expertise and coaching, is more than holding its own on any international stage, so our continued success will depend on us playing to our strengths and leveraging the considerable intellectual property we have built up in the team.”

Added Fallon: "Everything is in place to grow the College Group into a new generation, top tier, international business communications consultancy, and I’m excited to be a member of an executive board charged with shaping and leading this agency in the future."
