CHICAGO—Exelon has appointed Bryan Dumont as director of reputation insights and strategy, a newly-created role to help the company develop business intelligence systems and measure and monitor opportunities and risks. Dumont joins Exelon from corporate advisory firm Brunswick Group, where he was a partner in the firm’s London office. Prior to Brunswick, he was the president of APCO Insight.

SAN FRANCISCO—Pacific Gas & Electric Company has restructured its state external affairs functions in order to more effectively engage with stakeholders. Vice president Travis Kiyota will lead the newly-formed California external affairs organization, which will consolidate the state government relations, state agency relations, local public affairs and community relations functions. Reporting to Kiyota are senior directors Brandon Hernandez, who will lead external affairs and strategic initiatives; Kent Kauss, who will lead state legislative policy; and Ananda Baron, who leads community relations and the PG&E Foundation.

WASHINGTON, DC—The Biotechnology Innovation Organization has hired longtime majority staff director of the House Energy & Commerce Committee Gary Andres as senior executive vice president of public affairs. Prior to joining the committee, Andres served Presidents George H.W. Bush and George W. Bush as deputy assistant to the president for legislative affairs and as a member of the cabinet confirmation team respectively. He also served several stints with Dutko Worldwide.
