LOS ANGELES — Gaude Lydia Paez has joined Riot Games as the company’s senior VP of global communications and corporate affairs. Paez, who most recently was Hulu’s head of corporate communications, will oversee the gaming developer’s communications, social responsibility and global government affairs.

ROCKVILLE, MD — Onney Crawley has been named Goodwill’s new CMO, as which she will oversee the nonprofit’s communications as well as marketing. Crawley most recently was Serta Simmons Bedding VP of marketing. She previously held senior roles at Sears, Mars/Wrigley and The Kellogg Company.

SAN FRANCISCO — Healthcare services startup Altais has expanded its communications team with two hires — Bill Cummings and Jena Corda. Cummings will serve as senior director of marketing and external communications. He was, most recently, VP of marketing and communications at Thinfilm Electronics ASA. Corda has been named director of communications. She has led the company’s communications as a consultant since last year.
