NEW YORK—JetBlue Airways has appointed Nancy Elder to the role of vice president, communications, overseeing the company's communication strategy, crewmember communications, media relations, crisis communications, and special events. She will serve as member of the senior leadership team reporting to JetBlue's president, Robin Hayes. Elder joins JetBlue from Matter Unlimited, where she was a founding partner and chief strategy officer. Previously, she held communications and marketing roles at General Electric, MasterCard, Marsh, and Time Warner.

ATLANTA—Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen, the franchisor and operator of Popeyes restaurants, has named Todd Burke as vice president of corporate communications. Burke will lead internal and external communications, and the public and government affairs functions for the global Popeyes brand. Burke’s experience includes work at JetBlue Airways, where he served as vice president of corporate communications. He has also held communications roles at Trans World Airlines, American Airlines, and most recently Pacific Gas & Electric Company.

SAN DIEGO—Carol Cox has joined medical device company NuVasive as executive vice president of strategy and corporate communications. She will report directly to Alex Lukianov, chairman and chief executive officer, and will join the company's executive committee, responsible for creating and managing a centralized communications function, covering investor relations and public affairs as well as philanthropic and cultural efforts. She joins NuVasive from Sanford-Burnham Medical Research Institute, where she served as senior vice president, external affairs.
