AUSTIN — Ascension has promoted Nick Ragone to executive VP and chief marketing and communications officer. Ragone has been serving as senior VP and chief marketing and communications officer. In this role, he oversees the creation and execution of brand strategy, brand experience, direct-to-consumer marketing and advertising, public relations and thought leadership, social media strategy, internal communications, and consumer access for Ascension and its subsidiaries.

NEW YORK — MUFG has named Eva Radtke managing director and chief communications officer of MUFG Americas. In this new position, Radtke (pictured) will lead the communications function for MUFG Americas, which serves individual, corporate and institutional clients in the United States, Canada and Latin America. She joins from BNY Mellon where she most recently served as chief communications officer.

NEW YORK — WarnerMedia has appointed Molly Battin to chief corporate marketing and brand strategy officer. In this role, Battin will lead corporate brand strategy and brand management across WarnerMedia. She and her team will be responsible for coordinated portfolio marketing, agency management, cross promotion planning, media production and presentation services. She was most recently executive VP and global chief communications and corporate marketing officer for Turner.

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL — The Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention & Visitors Bureau has appointed Kara Franker as senior VP of marketing & communications. Franker will lead the strategic planning and execution for all destination marketing and communications initiatives including branding, global destination promotion, integrated advertising campaigns, social media, public relations and website development. Prior to joining the GFLCVB, she founded and led her own communications and marketing firm.

HARTSVILLE, SC — Phil Rozenski, a 12-year veteran of the Novolex family of brands, is promoted from senior director of sustainability to VP of public affairs. In this new position at Novolex, he will oversee public policy matters, stakeholder relations and sustainability engagement.
