NEW YORK — New York Women in Communications has named Alexandra Trower (pictured), The Estée Lauder Companies’ executive VP of global communications, a 2018 Matrix Awards honoree. Other “women who connect the world” who will be honored at the group’s April 23 event in New York are:

In addition, New York Times Reporters Jodi Kantor, Emily Steel and Megan Twohey, whose work the launched the movement against sexual harassment in the workplace, have been named winners of the group’s inaugural Incite Award, which honors women who have incited change.

NEW YORK — Construction and development company Skanska USA has promoted Cynthia Eng to chief communications officer. Eng will be responsible for Skanska’s internal and external communications, public relations, crisis management and brand strategies across the US. She has held multiple leadership roles with the company, most recently overseeing the Northeast marketing group for Skanska’s building operations.

GOODLETTSVILLE, TENNESSEE —Dollar General has named Jennifer Beugelmans its new VP of investor relations and public relations. In this role, she will oversee Dollar General’s investor relations, public relations, corporate communications and community initiatives functions. Beugelmans most recently served as the VP of investor relations of Etsy, where she was responsible for establishing a successful investor relations team following the company’s initial public offering in 2015.

NORTHVILLE, MICHIGAN — Gentherm, the thermal management technologies company, has hired Yijing H. Brentano as its senior VP of investor relations and corporate communications. Brentano most recently served as founder and managing partner of Green Tree Advisory, a consultancy that aids start-up companies with strategic and financial  planning and connects them with suppliers, business partners and consumers in China. Prior to that, she served as VP of strategy and investor relations at Harman International.
