WOODCLIFF LAKE, NJ—Mariella Kapsaskis has been named MINI communications manager by BMW of America. Most recently at Mercedes-Benz, Kapsaskis was part of the corporate communications team responsible for maintaining a positive image of the brand, products, and company in the US market. Prior to Mercedes-Benz, she was with Lands' End as the public relations manager and worked with Waggener Edstrom Worldwide. In addition, Rebecca Kiehne and Hector Arellano-Belloc have been named BMW product and technology spokespersons. Kiehne joined BMW of North America in 2011 and Arellano-Belloc was most recently at BMW Group University.

NEW YORK—McGraw Hill Financial has named Courtney Geduldig as executive vice president, public affairs, following the retirement of Ted Smyth, who had led corporate and public affairs since 2009. Geduldig is currently managing director, global government and public policy for mcgraw hill financial, and was previously vice president of global regulatory affairs at Standard & Poor's ratings services business.

NEW YORK—Overseas Shipholding Group has appointed Brian Tanner as vice president, investor relations and corporate communications. Prior to joining OSG, Tanner served as head of investor relations for Hawaiian Telcom, where he built the investor relations program after its emergence from Chapter 11. He also worked at both Merrill Lynch and Bank of America, as a senior equity research analyst.
