RALEIGH, NC  — Nonprofit Understood has named Joanna Roses-Ryan executive director of communications. In the newly created role, Roses-Ryan (pictured) will spearhead internal and external comms strategy to increase brand awareness through storytelling, integrated marketing, reputation management, and diversity equity and inclusion efforts. She joins the organization (which serves people who learn or think differently due to ADHD, dyslexia and the like) most recently from SAS, where she was VP of corporate communications and creative.

DETROIT — DTE Energy has appointed Lynette Dowler as VP of public affairs, and president of the DTE Foundation. Dowler succeeds Nancy Moody, who is retiring after 32 years of service with DTE. During her 37-year career at DTE, Dowler has served in senior leadership roles across the organization, including director of corporate safety and nuclear supply chain management. Dowler has served alongside Moody as part of DTE’s succession planning process for more than three years.

BATAVIA, IL — Jacqueline Bucher has been named head of communications for the US Department of Energy’s Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory as the new head of the office. She comes to the lab with over 25 years of experience in leading corporate communications, marketing and strategy for top global multinationals. She recently was VP and head of communications at Roche Molecular Solutions, where she led planning and execution of strategic marketing, media relations and communication initiatives.

LAS VEGAS — AGS has appointed Brad Boyer as VP of investor relations, corporate development & strategy. Boyer joins AGS after a 10-year career at Stifel, Nicolaus, and Company, where he ended his tenure as VP, equity research, gaming & leisure.
