WASHINGTON — The Biden Foundation has tapped Melanie Fonder Kaye to be its new communications director. Kaye has more than 20 years of experience in advocacy communications, media, and journalism. Before founding her communications firm MFK Strategies, she served as Jill Biden’s White House communications director, developing and overseeing the communications strategy for initiatives including Joining Forces, Biden and Michelle Obama’s effort to encourage Americans’ support of service members, veterans, and military families; helping to raise the profile of community colleges as pathway to success; elevating the role of teachers; and raising awareness around women’s health, particularly breast cancer.  

HOUSTON — Apache Corporation has named Emily McClung has been named VP, community partnerships and employee engagement. McClung brings more than 25 years of oil and gas sector human resources experience to this role. She joined Apache as senior manager, corporate HR & Staffing following the acquisition of Mariner Energy in November 2010 and most recently served as Apache's director, human resources.

WASHINGTON — Hudson Institute has named Ann Marie Hauser VP of public affairs. Hauser will lead public affairs strategy for the think tank's agenda of research publications, policy events and media engagement. Most recently, Hauser served as deputy staff director of the US Senate Republican Conference, where she led efforts to promote the Republican conference's platform of pro-growth policies and strengthen messaging after the party regained the Senate majority in 2014.
