CLEVELAND—Speciality chemical company Lubrizol has hired J. Mark Sutherland as director of public affairs and president of The Lubrizoil Foundation. He will lead community outreach, sustainable development and government relations, and direct the philanthropic initiatives for the corporation and its foundation. Sutherland first joined Lubrizol in 1981 and was director of investor relations before the company’s 2011 acquisition by Berkshire Hathaway. Most recently, he was vice president for investor relations at specialty chemical manufacturer WR Grace & Co.

MILWAUKEE—Johnson Controls has elected Grady Crosby a corporate officer and appointed him as vice president public affairs and chief diversity officer. Crosby will develop and implement government relations strategies, and lead the company's sustainability and community involvement initiatives. Since joining Johnson Controls in 2011, Crosby has held several positions of increasing responsibility, most recently as vice president and global general counsel for the company's Power Solutions business.

SAN FRANCISCO—Doximity, a leading physician network, has hired Emily Peters, former vice president, marketing communications at Practice Fusion, as vice president, marketing communications. Peters leads media relations, trend research and marketing at Doximity in a newly created role of VP, marketing communications. Previously at Practice Fusion, she oversaw the electronic health record company’s growth to a population of 75 million patients and $150 million in funding over the course of four years.
