BRUSSELS—Elizabeth Crossick is joining APCO Worldwide as deputy managing director of the Brussels office. In addition to her operational responsibilities, Crossick will work with Paolo Nicoletti, managing director in Brussels, and Michael Burrell, vice chairman of public affairs, Europe, to help expand APCO’s public affairs offering in Brussels and across the Europe, Middle East and Africa region.

Crossick is a trained barrister with more than 15 years of public affairs and communication experience in Brussels and London, having established and successfully managed her own consultancy. She previously served as director of government relations and corporate social responsibility at Brown-Forman and spent 10 years at Freshfields Bruckhaus & Deringer, where she built the firm’s public affairs operation in Brussels.

Crossick also worked as a director at the European Policy Centre, a respected Brussels think tank.

Louise Rowntree has also joined APCO as associate manager in the Brussels office. Rowntree is a trained lawyer and previously worked as account director and practice leader, competition and trade, at Hill & Knowlton in Brussels. Earlier in her career, she worked at law firms Holman Fenwick & Willan in Paris and Norton Rose in London and Brussels.
