LONDON — Crown Agents Bank, a global wholesale bank regulated in the UK and specialising in cross-border payments and foreign exchange for hard-to-reach markets, has selected B2B technology PR and marketing agency CCgroup to lead public relations across EMEA.

CCgroup will support the bank in its mission to connect hard-to-reach markets – such as Haiti, Sierra Leone and Malawi – to the global economy. These markets are characterised by lacking financial infrastructure, either historically or due to a recent crisis or disaster.

Crown Agents Bank – which previously worked with Missive – helps governments, institutions, and organisations minimise risk and deliver money to underserved geographies, offering cross-border payments in more than 100 currencies and markets and working with clients such as Bank of America, Western Union and UNICEF.

CCgroup’s communications programme will position Crown Agents Bank with major global banks, regional banks, fintechs, international development organisations governments and multilateral institutions as a market leader with a specialist offering that blends the speed and agility of a fintech with the scale and security of a regulated bank.

The programme aims to support lead generation and company value through a press office covering media and influencer relations, speaker and awards bureau, industry events, social media and insight-led content campaigns.

Crown Agents Bank head of marketing Venetia Herriott said: “Crown Agents Bank is in a period of high growth as we scale rapidly to enter new markets, and offer new products and services. Increasingly, we need to address a wider range of audiences and stakeholders on a global basis.

“With that in mind, our need to raise awareness, drive sales, and boost company value required the guidance and support of a skilled, specialist agency with a proven track record in the complex fintech landscape. CCgroup’s ‘can do’ attitude and deep fintech expertise, married with strategic rigour is ensuring that Crown Agents Bank gets the recognition and rewards it deserves.”

CCgroup’s head of fintech Daniel Lowther added: “Moving money around the world is too complex, too cumbersome and too costly for organisations that either don’t know the best way to do it or are in markets where regulation and a lack of infrastructure makes it difficult. Crown Agents Bank is making it so that people, businesses and governments can pay and get paid flexibly, reliably, and safely so that nothing hinders their growth and investment.

“CCgroup’s own commitment to the fintech space is reflected in Crown Agents Bank’s mission: to support a global economy and enable innovation. We’re thrilled to be using our industry knowledge and experience to ensure Crown Agents Bank is able to realise that goal.”
