NEW YORK — David Schraeder has left his Grayling senior VP job to head RF|Binder’s newly expanded financial services and corporate practice, part of a larger effort to expand the group’s clients and corporate communications services.

As executive managing director, as well as practice leader, Schrader will focus on the agency’s work with financial services clients, while simultaneously building its corporate practice by leveraging RF|Binder capabilities in data & analytics, social media, branding and media relations.

Schraeder is also charged with managing crisis communications for the practice, which until now focused solely on financial services clients.

“David joins us at a time when corporate leadership in financial services and other sectors face significant strategic challenges from disruptive technology and increased scrutiny of their business practices and impact on society,” said agency founder and CEO Amy Binder. “A thoughtful, experienced advisor, David is a great addition to a senior team who is engaged daily in helping clients navigate changes in their competitive landscape, shifting public opinion and an increasingly fragmented, politicized media environment.”

While at Grayling, Schraeder was responsible for leading key accounts and acting as the crisis management lead for Grayling in the US. Earlier in his career, he spent three years as Head of US corporate communications for World Gold Council, the market development organization for the global gold market.
