BRUSSELS — Fast-growing advisory firm Dentons Global Advisors has hired healthcare and life sciences communications specialist Heike Galbraith as a partner.

Galbraith has more than 20 years’ experience in public affairs, stakeholder management, and advocacy across the healthcare and life sciences industry, specialising in therapeutic areas including vaccines, oncology, rare diseases, HIV/AIDS, and hepatitis. She joins Dentons Global Advisors from GCI Health, where she was head of European policy and public affairs.

Before joining GCI Health last year, she was director of the global rare disease and vaccines public affairs team at Pfizer, as well as part of the pharma giant’s EU government affairs team for 12 years. She previously served as director of international government affairs at Gilead and worked in the European Parliament.

Grégoire Poisson, chief executive officer of Dentons Global Advisors Interel, the EU public affairs division of DGA formed when the firm bought Interel in July last year, said: “Heike brings fresh insight and corporate experience in some of the most critical health policy issues facing companies that are looking to make a positive contribution to society.”

Galbraith added: “I am thrilled to join a firm that approaches business issues and opportunities in health policy from a 360-degree perspective. I look forward to partnering with our clients and stakeholders to develop impactful strategies and advocate for meaningful policy solutions.”

Other recent hires at DGA include a number of partners in New York and London.
