NEW YORK — Shreya Mukherjee has joined MSL as its new chief strategy officer, succeeding Alina Diaz, who now oversees the firm’s consumer practice.
Mukherjee brings 20 years of experience to the role, in which she will be leading the Publicis-owned agency’s strategic offering across the US.
Mukherjee joins from Deutsch, where she served as global group strategy director for one of the agency’s largest clients, and social impact practice lead. Before that, she was global strategy director for Publicis New York.
“Shreya is a multi-dimensional strategist with deep expertise and a love of learning and growing, but it wasn’t just her experience and accomplishments that drew me to her for this role, it was also her unbounded empathy and passion for meaningful impact,” said US CEO Diana Littman. “Simply put, she is a force and will be a game changer for MSL, our clients and the industry.”
Mukherjee is assuming the position two years after Diaz joined MSL as the agency’s first chief strategy officer, one of Littman’s first major hires after being named CEO three months earlier.
Diaz added oversight of the firm's consumer practice last March, when then-MD Eileen Ziesemer left the firm to lead PR for Ulta Beauty. With Mukherjee now onboard, she will now focus on leading the practice full-time.
