NEW YORK — DeVries Global has hired Cathleen Koo as SVP and earned media lead, to oversee media relations strategies across the agency’s accounts spanning consumer goods, beauty, lifestyle, retail and fast food.

Koo joins from BCW, where she had led media relations strategies and execution for the past three years. She was previously SVP, media relations at Zeno, and has worked with brands including Marcus by Goldman Sachs, Kohl’s, Colgate-Palmolive, Bank of America, British American Tobacco and Gallo.

In her new role, Koo will be responsible for providing strategic counsel across key accounts, developing earned teams and training, and playing an active role in new business. She will be based in DeVries Global’s New York office and report to Torri Leeds, executive vice president of client service and growth.
