LONDON—The Digital Shoreditch festival has brought in Waggener Edstrom as its Communications Partner for 2015.

The four-year old event, which aims to showcase the best tech, creative and entrepreneurial talent in Europe and beyond, has tasked the agency with driving wider awareness of the festival.

Digital Shoreditch cancelled its 2014 event two days before it was due to start, after working with PR firm Ketchum in 2013.

The 2015 assignment also sees WagEd provide ongoing support during events, while also developing a number of campaigns in the run up to the festival itself.

“We’re delighted to be bringing in Waggener Edstrom as our Communications Partner for next year’s festival," said Digital Shoreditch co-founder James Allsopp.

"With new topics added to the Festival such as film and music, Waggener Edstrom’s integrated communications expertise and creative know how will enable us to reach a much bigger audience than we have done in the past.”

The two week event, which kicks off in May 2015, will feature a variety of themes, including fintech; wearables; intelligent devices and smart cities; food and healthtech; makertech; DIY and hacker; film and music; space and incubation.

"London is home to some of the most unique and creative companies in the world and Digital Shoreditch is a great platform to help these companies get noticed on a world stage,” said WagEd EMEA EVP Chris Talago.
