NEW DELHI—Dilip Yadav is departing Weber Shandwick after 20 years with the agency in India.

Yadav, who was MD of client services and also led the firm's Creation brand, is being replaced by former Perfect Relations VP Shashikant Someshwar. The moves follow the arrival of ex-Perfect Relations CEO Valerie Pinto (pictured) as Weber Shandwick India CEO at the start of this year.

"We are very sad to see Dilip leave us," said Weber Shandwick Asia-Pacific chairman Tim Sutton.

"He has been a wonderful and loyal member of Weber Shandwick and, prior that, Corporate Voice | Weber Shandwick, over very many years. He leaves with our warm thanks and very best wishes."

Someshwar, who is named Creation India head, becomes the third Perfect Relations veteran to join Weber Shandwick India in the past three months, following Pinto and consulting/strategy MD Rohan Kanchan. Someshwar's 14-year career with Perfect Relations saw him rise to the role of operations VP; he was also tipped to take charge upon Pinto's departure.

Asked about the hires, Sutton said: "I have enormous respect for Perfect Relations and for both Dilip Cherian and Bobby Kewalramani. They head up one of our most admirable competitors in India."

"I have seen Val, Rohan and Shashi grow up before my eyes," responded Perfect Relations founder Kewalramani, who is also CEO. "They are like my children. I wish them the very best."

Someshwar will lead a team of more than 30 consultants at Creation, whose biggest global client is Microsoft. Based in New Delhi, he is tasked with stepping up Creation’s growth across the country.

"Creation is on a high-growth trajectory globally, with client work now being delivered across more than 30 offices around the world," said Creation president George Coleman. "We will be making more strategic hires throughout the year to further fuel growth, and India was a priority focus given the incredible potential of this market."
