WARSAW--Discovery Networks has called in Ciszewski MSL to oversee PR brief in Poland, one of the broadcaster's key global markets.

Ciszewski takes charge of corporate PR for the group's two main channels, Discovery Channel and TLC. The firm secured the assignment following an open tender that attracted proposals from numerous agencies.

"Ciszewski MSL will be responsible for corporate public relations and programme PR for Discovery Channel and TLC in Poland," said Piotr Kabala, communications manager for Central Europe and Southeast Europe at Discovery Networks.

"We decided to prepare a multistage tender in order to carefully verify our new partner's competencies. Ciszewski MSL won thanks to its successes in cooperation with media clients and wide experience of its dedicated team."

PR consultants from two Ciszewski MSL departments will lead the business. The firm's consumer goods and lifestyle department, headed by Zofia Bugajna, will be responsible for handling flagship channels  Discovery Channel and TLC. Renata Toczyska-Seliga's unit will coordinate corporate PR activities.
