LOS ANGELES — Dole, the world’s largest produce company, has handed its social purpose business to Golin.

The Dole/Golin social purpose partnership started in late February and is being managed out of Golin’s Los Angeles office with support from the agency's San Francisco and Chicago teams. Golin’s first effort was supporting Dole’s campaign to bolster food donations for people in need due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Dole works with a range of creative agencies for different parts of its business. Earlier this year, the produce giant made two PR agency appointments, naming Padilla as its digital marketing and social media agency of record and Rocket Science as PR and blogger/influencer AOR for its fresh products division.

“We’re thrilled to partner with such an important household brand whose products are always a necessity, but are more in need than ever around the world right now,” said Laura Sutphen, Golin’s global head of social purpose. “At Golin, we are committed to servicing work that creates real impact, and we couldn’t be more proud of Dole for offering their resources and facilities to help the greater good, while also welcoming others to join them in this shared cause."
