GRAND RAPIDS,  MI — Lambert & Co. has named agency veteran Don Hunt president in conjunction with founder and CEO Jeff Lambert stepping down from the role.

Hunt’s responsibilities include companywide strategic planning and leading operations, as well as continuing the client work and management he’s done throughout his 18-plus years with the firm.

Hunt joined Lambert in 2000 as a managing director and partner, a position he retained until stepping into the president job.

“As Lambert continues to experience rapid growth, we need strong leaders to support and drive the vision for the company,” said Lambert, who remains the firm’s CEO. “Don has been with the company and my partner for nearly two decades and has a proven track record of cultivating leadership and innovation across the firm. He is a strong and insightful leader, and there is no one more deserving or better suited for this position.”

Hunt joined Lambert after five years as director of communications for DP Fox Ventures, a Grand Rapids-based business management and investment firm. Before that, he worked as a PR consultant for companies including Whirlpool and Upjohn, which is now owned by Pfizer.
