NEW YORK--Five-star boutique hotel brand Dream has appointed John Doe US to handle global lifestyle PR duties.

John Doe is tasked with developing the brand's lifestyle media relations and creating campaigns to highlight its interaction with the worlds of fashion and design. The agency was appointed following a competitive pitch.

The brainchild of hotelier Virkam Chatwal, Dream recently entered into an agreement with Wyndham Hotel Group, in which Wyndham gained exclusive rights to franchise and manage the Dream brand globally. Dream currently has hotels in the US, Thailand and India.

"The Dream brand is at an exciting stage with great properties, innovative services and an inspiring story," said senior VP of brand development Brendan McNamara. "We wanted to work with an agency that understood not only our consumers but also how we interact in their cultural lives."

Day to day direction of the account will be led by John Doe publicity director Meena Khera. The new account comes after John Doe launched its US operation in October of this year.
