SINGAPORE — Daryl Ho is departing Edelman to become managing director of WE Communications in Singapore.

Ho leaves Edelman after two years as digital MD in Singapore. He arrives at WE in October and will report to Australia/Singapore EVP Rebecca Wilson.

Wilson noted that Ho's 20 years of experience spanning digital, integrated marketing and B2B  "not only makes him a valued client partner but also an excellent fit to take our Singapore business forward and unlock our next phase of growth."

In addition to eight years in China at Iris Worldwide, Ho has also held senior roles at Zeno Group (as the firm's first China MD), DDB and Tribal DDB.

His arrival comes after WE Singapore CEO Jeremy Seow stepped down in late 2019. Since then, the firm has bolstered its senior ranks in Singapore with the additions of regional tech lead Sara Pereira, regional senior director Marcus Loh and corporate head Alicia Eu.

At WE, Ho will oversee the agency’s 40-strong team, while also working together with Simon Pangrazio, managing partner of WE's corporate-focused subsidiary Watatawa.

“I join WE at a time where we are witnessing a disruptive change to not just our clients’ businesses but ours too. People’s expectations of brands are rapidly shifting, and there has never been a more important time for us to help our clients be great custodians of their customers’ needs and their brands’ reputations,” said Ho.

“WE has been paving the way for authentic storytelling and purposeful businesses for many years," he added. "Today I have the privilege of taking that to the next level, by connecting an arsenal of data, technology, platforms and agile storytelling capabilities to help our clients rise above the noise in this new reality, as they transform technologically and culturally."

Ho’s client servicing experience includes Singapore government agencies like the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth (MCCY), Economic Development Board (EDB), Singapore Global Network (SGN), Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) and Singapore Traffic Police; B2B brands such as Philips Healthcare, Johnson & Johnson, HP and Singtel Group Enterprise; and consumer brands like Jewel Changi Airport, Porsche, P&G and Macallan, among others.
