NEW YORK — Julianna Richter, who stepped down from her role as Edelman’s US chief operating officer in November, has joined business advisory firm Waypoint Partners.
Richter will serve as a partner with the firm, which focuses on growth and M&A. She will lead strategic engagements with creative, marketing communications and related technology companies, with a focus on driving growth and value creation.
"Over the past few months I’ve been consulting with companies to help them structure and optimize for growth, which is what I am most passionate about," Richter said in a LinkedIn post. "It's been a fantastic opportunity that's allowed me to learn and grow professionally, and to know what I want in my next long-term work relationship. I am looking forward to ‘consciously coupling’ again with Waypoint to continue this exciting new chapter."
The job reunites Richter with Waypoint US managing partner Brett Davis, who was Edelman Berland's CEO until his 2015 departure.
Richter had spent 18 years with Edelman, serving as US COO from 2014 to her departure. She moved into that job after spending three years as the president of global client management, one of several roles she held since joining Edelman as a senior VP at the start of 2000. Edelman has not replaced Richter.
