PARIS — Edelman has expanded its global families practice – its communications offer aimed at leading family offices and family-owned businesses worldwide – and it will now be headquartered in the firm’s Paris office.
The practice will be led by Edouard Tétreau, who joins the firm as vice president of Edelman France after 18 years as a managing partner at Mediafin, an advisory working with senior executives of institutions and family holding companies. Tétreau takes over from Justin Blake, executive director of the Edelman Trust Institute and global chair of executive positioning at Edelman.
Tétreau will report to Ed Williams, president and CEO of Edelman EMEA, who said “Advising CEOs, listed companies and family-owned company boards requires specific skills, expertise, and relationships. Edouard’s deep knowledge of their agenda and priorities will be invaluable as these businesses navigate the shifting, and increasingly complex set of interconnected business and societal expectations.”
The global families offer draws on Edelman’s proprietary Trust tools and includes specialists in C-level advisory, financial services, crisis, digital and GenZ. In the spring of 2024, the agency will host the first Edelman Global Families Conference, which will gather 200 of the world’s most significant families and family offices, in terms of size or industry leadership.
Tétreau said: “Over the last 18 years, I have had the chance to advise some of the most accomplished French and European industrial families, both over the long term and during decisive moments such as successions, anti- hostile take-over advisory, transformative acquisitions, governance crises. To join Edelman, a family-owned global leader in communications, is a privilege.”
