SYDNEY — Edelman has hired Kellogg veteran Rebecca Boustead to oversee its food and beverage sector in Asia-Pacific.

Boustead joins as EVP of Asia-Pacific food and beverage after almost 23 years with Kellogg in Australia. Most recently, she was senior director of corporate communications, government relations and public affairs across Asia-Pacific, the Middle East and Africa, serving on a both the Kellogg Asia-Pacific and ANZ leadership teams and on the board of the Kellogg Australia Charitable Foundation.

"Rebecca is one of the most important hires we have made in the last 12 months," said Edelman Asia-Pacific CEO Stephen Kehoe. "The challenges facing the food industry have been steadily increasing across the region, even prior to the onset of Covid-19.”

“Today, as major companies look to stay ahead of new regulations, new risks impacting the supply chain and changing consumer habits, it has become an even more complex environment to navigate," added Kehoe. "Rebecca, with over two decades of experience at a top 10 multinational food brand, therefore joins us at a critical moment."

Boustead, who reports to Edelman Asia-Pacific vice chair of clients and sectors Amanda Goh, will focus on capability building, client advisory and new business development within the F&B sector, while also aiming to reimagine Edelman’s offering to F&B clients.

In addition to Kellogg, Edelman's F&B clients include Taco Bell, Sunkist, KFC, Mars Wrigley, Heineken and PepsiCo.
