LONDON — Edelman has made three senior appointments to its corporate teams in the UK and EMEA.

Nick Hope (pictured) has been appointed managing director of the 90-strong UK corporate practice. Hope joined Edelman in 2018 and was most recently part of the EMEA regional executive committee as EMEA chief of staff. He has also worked with clients in the region, providing counsel on strategic communications campaigns and crisis management.

Before joined Edelman in 2018, Hope was a Labour Party political advisor and a speechwriter for private clients in entertainment and business.

The agency has also appointed Rosanne Perry to the newly-created role of head of operations for corporate affairs across EMEA. Perry, who was previously interim MD of corporate reputation and has been at Edelman for more than eight years, will work with EMEA chair of corporate affairs Julian Payne to integrate Edelman’s corporate capabilities in the region, working across specialisms such as employee engagement, sustainability, and social purpose, and B2B marketing.

In addition, Tim Carlton Jones, who joined Edelman in September after working in strategic communications roles in the Middle East, including at Bell Pottinger, Consulum, Laith Communications and Tamkeen, a subsidiary of the government of Abu Dhabi’s executive affairs authority, has been appointed as head of international affairs. In this newly-expanded role, Carlton Jones will be responsible for the coordination of multi-market client work, with a focus on the UK, US and Middle East markets.

Edelman UK and Ireland-CEO Ruth Warder – who was recently elevated into the leadership role  as her co-CEO Hugh Taggart departed – said: “It’s a privilege to be able to promote Nick, Rosanne, and Tim to these leadership positions from within Edelman. In these three, we have leaders who truly understand the communications landscape and are able to leverage the full spectrum of Edelman’s capabilities and expertise to help clients navigate today’s complex world.”

Payne added: “Our large multi-market clients continue to grow as we partner with them and offer them breadth and depth that can’t be matched elsewhere. These appointments will ensure we are able to service our clients’ needs from across the region, no matter where the opportunity comes from.”
