SINGAPORE — Edelman has hired Simon Lockyer from IBM iX to lead its brand practice in Singapore, which oversees the firm's consumer marketing clients and capabilities.

Reporting to Edelman Singapore CEO John Kerr, Lockyer was most recently head of customer engagement and design for ASEAN at IBM iX.  Prior to IBM, Lockyer was CEO of FCB Singapore, and managed Droga5’s Singapore operation. His career also includes in-house marketing experience, notably at Cathay Pacific.

"Simon is a master of crafting experiences that combine humanity, creativity and technology, and we are delighted to have him on board," said Kerr. "He is joining us at an incredibly exciting time and is undoubtedly the right leader to accelerate our transformation here in Singapore."

Kerr took charge of Edelman's Singapore operation last year, after rejoining the firm from sister agency Zeno. Separately, Edelman Singapore has recently parted ways with ECD Aaron Phua and chief strategy officer Remona Duquesne, a spokesperson confirmed.
