NEW YORK—Larry Sennett, former global managing directory in the technology practice at Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide, has joined Edelman Public Relations Worldwide has president of its Edelman Technology practice. Sennett will be based in the firm’s San Francisco office and will report to vice chairman Leslie Dach.

Sennett takes over from Miller Bonner, who was named technology sector chief late last year, after practice leader Harry Pforzheimer assumed responsibility for the agency’s west coast operations. Bonner—whose Texas-based agency was acquired by Edelman three years ago—will become a senior consultant. Steve Hoechster, executive vice president, will take over Bonner’s role as general manager of the New York technology practice.

“Larry is a proven leader in marketing and corporate communications,” said Leslie Dach  “He brings a global perspective to the firm that will make our technology practice stronger and more effective.”
Prior to joining Edelman, Sennett played a major role in winning and managing global business at Ogilvy and worked on integrating Ogilvy’s worldwide staff. His background also includes over a decade in a variety of communications management jobs at Hewlett Packard, heading communications for HP’s consumer and business computing operations as well as the office of the chief executive.
