LONDON — Technology PR agency Wildfire has developed an 8-bit video game to turn the trials and challenges of B2B marketing into a playable adventure. Hosted online, B2Bold: The Game involves “a heroic marketer attempting to collect lightbulb moments, scaling creative blocks, and dodging the clouds of buzzwords that surround B2B marketing”. The game forms part of Wildfire’s ongoing ‘B2Bold’ initiative, designed to promote B2B creativity and encourage B2B marketers to experiment with new formats, tactics and campaigns.

LONDON — Arts, culture and entertainment specialist Riot Communications has been hired to promote the Christmas Lectures from the Royal Institution: the science lectures for young people, which began in 1825 and have been broadcast on UK television every year since 1966. The Christmas Lectures have been given by eminent scientists such as Nobel Prize winners William and Lawrence Bragg, Sir David Attenborough, Dame Nancy Rothwell, Professor Alice Roberts, Sir Jonathan Van-Tan and Dame Sue Black. This year the subject of the Lectures is ‘The Truth About AI’ and they will be given by Professor Michael Wooldridge, a professor at the University of Oxford and the Alan Turing Institute. It is the sixth consecutive year the agency has been entrusted to handle PR for the lectures.

LONDON — Climate Tech Supercluster, a new joint venture between climate collective Liminal, Cambridge Cleantech and Oxfordshire Greentech, has appointed PR agencies 33Seconds and Emperor to help its mission to accelerate climate action, innovation and impact within a $1 trillion-valued climate technology region across the UK, France, Belgium and the Netherlands. B Corp agency Emperor is responsible for brand and proposition, while climate and tech specialist 33Seconds will develop PR strategy, build the organisation’s profile and reputation, and handle media relations.

LONDON — Pizza restaurant chain Franco Manca has appointed food and drink specialist Fleet Street as its first retained consumer PR agency, after a competitive pitch. The agency has been briefed to run a 12-month programme across the UK. The sourdough pizza firm previously worked with The Romans on a project basis.
