LONDON — Brand engagement agency Richmond & Towers has been appointed by Brooklyn Brewery to oversee its social media presence in the UK, after the agency has led UK PR for the past year, including unveiling the first mural using beer-infused paint to celebrate the launch of its new pilsner (pictured). Adding to consumer and trade PR campaigns, Richmond & Towers now leads on social media strategy, content creation and influencer marketing for the brewery.

LONDON — FleishmanHillard’s fintech team has been appointed by embedded finance business Swan on a retained basis to handle pan-European media relations. A London-based team will lead media engagement strategy and execution for titles with international reach. The Paris-based fintech works with companies including Carrefour and Pennylane. The agency team will work with Swan’s in-market teams to build a communications function across the region.

PARIS — Ogilvy Paris has launched an AI Lab, with a team of art directors, copywriters, and creative technologists to help clients make the best use of AI, as well as a legal team dedicated to answering questions of ethics and rights management. The AI Lab – whose clients already include Nestlé, Accor, Tinder – sits within Reality, Ogilvy’s global emerging experience unit, which helps clients translate technologies including AR, VR, Web3, AI and NFTs into relevant and accessible creative experiences for brands.

LONDON — New York firm Rachel Harrison Communications has launched a London outpost. Founder Harrison will lead the new office along with managing partner Lauren Webster, formerly of boutique PR & marketing agency Ninth House. The firm, which was founded in 2020 and already has a presence in Los Angeles, Paris, Mexico City and Las Vegas, is planning to expand further to Sydney, Singapore, San Francisco and Dallas over the next two years. Other new staffers include PR director Robyn Percy, formerly of Hue & Cry. The London branch will offer a full suite of communication services, including social media and wider digital marketing management, content marketing, digital advertising, and creative production. European clients already include The Nomad London F&B, Never Say Die Bourbon, Gruppo Montenegro and Barriere Hotels.

LONDON — Seqera Labs, a provider of data software for the life sciences industry that recently secured €22 million in Series A funding, has appointed Diffusion, to highlight its work in improving the way researchers share and analyse scientific data. The company, which works with the likes of AstraZeneca, Janssen Pharmaceuticals and Oxford Nanopore, helps companies with healthcare issues including developing personalised immunogenic vaccines, diagnostics, image processing, and population genomics. Diffusion’s PR programme includes thought leadership, focusing on Seqera Labs’ CEO Evan Floden.

MANCHESTER — Entertainment, arts and culture agency Premier has expanded into the North of England with new offices in Manchester. Premier North will work with the London office and with clients across the cities of Liverpool, Sheffield, Leeds, Bradford and Hull. The agency’s existing clients in the North include the Manchester Film Festival, Sheffield DocFest and Quay Street Productions, part of ITV Studios. Premier North will be led by Elizabeth Taylor, who first worked for the agency from 2012-2019 and will continue to handle publicity for Sundance Film Festival: London.

LONDON — Global long-distance hiking event series provider Highlander has hired The PHA Group’s sport and fitness division on a press office and influencer brief that spans event promotion, journalist and influencer engagement, as it launches into the UK. Founded in Croatia in 2017, Highlander has become a worldwide adventure series, hosting more than 40 events across 20 countries; the first UK event will take place in the Lake District in July.

LONDON — Klaxonn, the live experiences agency within Ready10 that launched in February, has been appointed by entertainment start-up Immersive Gamebox to manage the brand’s upcoming global game launches and studio partnerships, after a competitive pitch. Immersive Gamebox was set up by Will Dean, co-founder of Tough Mudder. The company currently operates in the US, Germany, UAE and the UK, and joins Ideal Home Show and British Marine on Klaxonn’s client roster.

LONDON — Red Lion has been appointed by The Knot Churros dessert café to support its London expansion this spring. The Knot Churros in Knightsbridge will be London’s first luxury churros bar with nightly entertainment. Red Lion will be handling the launch event, underpinned with creative press office and influencer outreach, overseen by the agency’s joint MD Ellen Durrant.

LONDON — Fresh pasta delivery brand Nonna Tonda has chosen Wild Card on a project basis. The agency’s remit is to support Nonna Tonda’s growth in 2023 by driving brand awareness with target consumers, creating noise around the brand, and attracting new customers to its subscription model.

MANCHESTER — Tangerine has launched a creative, reactive social media content service, Mint, to enable brands to create relevant, attention-grabbing content in response to new conversations and trends. The agency has already worked on reactive social media creative for brands including Specsavers, Dunelm and Pizza Hut.

LONDON — Telecom Infra Project, an international non-profit organisation made up of global telecommunication and IT companies, has selected Babel PR as its communications agency, on a brief that includes messaging and content development, media and analyst relations, and event organisation. It previously worked with Brunswick. The organisation’s members have a common objective of testing and deploying open standards-based technology into telecommunications networks to bring more choice to the way mobile, fixed and satellite networks are built. Babel has also worked with telecoms brands including Amdocs, BICS, Ciena and Telstra.
