LONDON — AxiCom, WPP’s technology specialist communications agency, has been appointed by Nyobolt, a Cambridge-based start-up focused on ultra-fast charging, high-power battery technology for electric vehicles and engineering. Led by Robert Roessler, AxiCom’s director of enterprise technology, the team will deliver a mix of media relations and brand building activity by telling the story of Nyobolt and its technology.

LONDON — Online creative community Domestika (pictured) has appointed Milk & Honey PR as its retained PR agency in the UK and the US after a competitive pitch. The agency will lead on driving awareness as the Spanish brand expands globally. Domestika offers 2,000 courses across craft, design, and digital in eight languages. Milk & Honey will highlight Domestika’s position as a leader in online creative learning and build advocacy and positive sentiment within the creative community, including through press office, creative campaigns, influencer engagement and spokesperson profiling. Milk & Honey managed the recent announcement of Domestika’s closure of a $110 million Series D funding round, which brought its valuation to $1.3 billion. The pitch was led by global creative director Ottilie Ratcliffe and the teams will be led by partner Kath Myers in the UK and CEO Paul Cohen in the US.

LONDON — Hitachi Capital UK has appointed Hill+Knowlton Strategies as its retained PR and communications agency, as it rebrands as Novuna. H+K is tasked with building Novuna’s reputation at a group level and driving business and consumer awareness across all its business divisions: vehicle solutions, business finance, business cash flow, consumer finance and its European division. Novuna also embarks this week on a £1 million media and advertising campaign, along with a refresh of its websites and social channels.

MANCHESTER —  Duo Consulting, a new UK-based firm specialising in public relations and communications strategy has launched with a hub office in Manchester. The consultancy is founded by director Dan Sheridan, former head of communications at UK-listed global technology company GBG, and focuses on supporting businesses across the tech, fintech, professional services and education sectors. Launch clients span innovative and growing UK companies as well as international firms landing and expanding in the UK and in Europe, including venture-backed tech and software companies AgriWebb, Canto, Codat, Deputy and Wunder Mobility. Before GBG, Sheridan ran Asia Pacific corporate communications for Polycom. He was also a consultant at Blue Rubicon.

BIRMINGHAM, UK — Luxury bathroom manufacturer Hansgrohe has appointed McCann PR & Social to lead its strategy for the Axor and Hansgrohe brands in the UK, after a competitive pitch. The agency will work with both brands to engage installers, retailers, architects and designers, as well as consumers across the UK. The integrated PR and social programme will drive awareness and consideration via thought leadership and content.

CHICHESTER, UK — B2B marketing and communications agency Ilex Content Strategies, which serves technology and telecommunications companies, has been selected by TelXira, a global business messaging provider based in Switzerland, as its marketing and communications agency of record. Ilex will lead telXira’s website development and support it with content creation, inbound marketing, sales enablement, borderless PR, and HubSpot management.
