LONDON—Paul Lyon has joined Wolters Kluwer Financial Services in a newly created role as its director of corporate communications for Europe, the Middle East and Africa. He will be responsible for the strategy and execution of all public relations activities, advising on internal communications across the region, also leading analyst relations. He was previously executive director and head of communication and marketing for Daiwa Capital Markets, and before that was head of key media, communication and marketing for The Royal Bank of Scotland’s investment banking business.

LONDON—The Turkish Ministry of Culture & Tourism has appointed Publicasity to handle its consumer and trade PR in the UK and Ireland. Publicasity will work with the Turkish Ministry of Culture & Tourism to showcase the destination’s selling points.

LONDON—Focus PR has been appointed to handle the global PR programme for Courvoisier, the cognac brand that is owned by Beam Suntory, the world's third largest premium spirits company. Focus has been handling the UK PR brief for Courvoisier since 2009. 

JOHANNESBURG—Saab Grintek Defence, which provides military defence and civil security products, services and solutions to the pan-African market, has appointed Tribeca Public Relations as its strategic communications partner for sub-Saharan Africa. Tribeca will also be responsible for managing communication needs for the larger Saab Group in additional strategic African markets.

LONDON—Ranj George has joined Lewis PR in the newly-created role of UK head of consumer. He joins Lewis from Fever where he was a consumer and digital director and had experience on clients including Toshiba, EE, Sony PlayStation, and HTC UK. His previous experience includes agencies including Brando and Nexus Communications. He will assume full responsibility for the existing portfolio of consumer clients as well as for the growth and direction of the agency's consumer offering in the UK.
