LONDON—WPP’s Addison Corporate Marketing has acquired a majority stake in Emaxol, the holding company for IR Group, a leading online corporate communications agency. The combined business will trade as Addison Group. Founded in London in1991 by Mark Hill, IR Group employs 65 people and specializes in designing, building, hosting and developing corporate websites and digital consulting services. Clients include Tesco, BG Group, Centrica, Kingfisher, InterContinental Hotels Group, Tullow Oil, Cairn Energy, Petrofac and Rexam. Consolidated unaudited revenues for the year ended 31 July were £5.9 million.

STOCKHOLM—JKL has welcomed back two former employees, Dora Streiffert and Joel Malmqvist. Streiffert worked at JKL from 2001 to 2004, and subsequently held positions such as retail marketing manager for Nike Denmark and account manager and team leader at Aspekta. Since 2010 she has been a consultant at Wenderfalck. At JKL, she will be help develop the firm’s corporate communication offer. Malmqvist comes most recently from a position as project leader at the Centre for Business and Policy Studies and will focus on the firm’s public affairs offer.

JOHANNESBURG—South African communications group Joe Public has hired Keri-Ann Stanton (pictured) to head up its new PR division. Stanton has more than 20 years’ experience in journalism, corporate communications, marketing and public relations and was previously owner and founder of Kezi Communications, which she sold in 2012.

LONDON—Moonlight Media, a specialist public relations agency serving the global banking, trading, risk technology and exchange sectors, has hired Tina Clark as head of its social media team. Clark previously held lead social media roles with Facebook preferred marketing developer Betapond, and also worked with LOCOG (the London 2012 Olympics), University of Greenwich and The Daily Telegraph.

MANCHESTER—Beattie Communications has added two new accounts in the arts and entertainment sector: the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts and production company, Lion Eyes.

LONDON—Aspectus PR has been hired by Maitland, the global fund administration and advisory firm, to raise the profile of its legal, tax, fiduciary and investment services across North America and Europe. The engagement will be primarily focused on content development and media relations.
