LONDON—Grayling has appointed Jonathan Curtis as its new head of public affairs, working alongside Grayling chairman Richard Jukes. Curtis is a former director in Grayling’s public affairs team with more than 10 years of consultancy experience.

HELSINKI—Tero Huovinen has been appointed senior vice president, communications and corporate responsibility at global chemical company Kemira Oyj. He reports to Kemira's president and CEO Jari Rosendal. He has been working as VP, investor relations, in Kemira since 2010. Leena Lie, Kemira's current head of communications and corporate responsibility, is leaving to become SVP, communications, at Cargotec.

LONDON—Mischief PR has hired Daniella Graham from Metro.co.uk, to the newly created full-time role of news and conversation editor. Graham will chair daily editorial meetings and oversee the replacement of press releases with news copy better suited to the different needs of print, online, social and broadcast media. She will also advise on media strategy, media relationships and SEO. Graham worked for Metro.co.uk for more than four years, including roles as night site editor and acting news editor.

BERLIN—Isabel Kassabian, an expert in German and European public affairs, was named deputy managing director for APCO Worldwide’s Berlin office. Kassabian, who heads the firm’s German healthcare practice and leads national and international client accounts. She has 13 years of experience at APCO and has provided strategic counsel on topics as diverse as human rights, food, education, scientific publishing and information technology, as well as the pharmaceutical and chemical industries.
