LONDON—CorporateEdge, the branding and digital agency, has joined the Hotwire group. Like Hotwire a part of the Enero Group, Corporate Edge has been based in Hotwire’s London office for the last year, with the two firms working together on clients such as Hotels.com and Currency Cloud. According to Brendon Craigie, CEO of Hotwire, “The integration of CorporateEdge into Hotwire will allow us to offer an even wider portfolio of services to our clients.” CorporateEdge also promoted Matthew Hinshelwood to managing director.
BRUSSELS—Sir Graham Watson, former member of the European Parliament and former leader of the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe Group in the European Parliament, has joined APCO Worldwide as a member of the firm’s international advisory council. Watson was first elected to the European Parliament in 1994 and was the first Liberal Democrat MEP to be elected in the UK. He was a member of the committee for economic and monetary affairs and industrial policy and also served on the budgets committee for five years.
LONDON—MHP Communications has expanded its financial practice with the appointment of Tim Rowntree as a managing director after 27 years in investment banking, including senior roles at HSBC and Hoare Govett. Most recently, he spent six years as part of the team building the corporate broking franchise at Numis Securities in London.
LONDON—parkrun UK has hired Threepipe to help develop and articulate its brand positioning and engage with new potential partners. Established in 2004 and now taking place in over 300 parks and open spaces around the UK, parkrun is a series of free, weekly, timed runs managed entirely by volunteers.
