RIYADH — Nick Archer has joined Saudi Arabian firm Savvy Games as senior vice president and head of group communications. Archer joins the gaming and esports firm from global construction and chemicals firm MBCC Group, where he was interim vice-president of corporate communications. He previously oversaw corporate communications at Rio Tinto and has also worked at Edelman and renewable energy semiconductor firm Suzlon.
LONDON — Ketchum UK has hired Annie Gould-Magee as corporate deputy managing director. She joins from FTI Consulting, where she has been a senior director for the past seven years leading the corporate and responsible business division, and will report to corporate lead Heather Blundell. The agency has also made two promotions in its client experience team: Steph McDonald becomes MD of client innovation, while Alex Marsh has been named director of client experience.
LONDON — The Romans has hired Shan Choda (pictured) as its new head of digital. She joins from Portland Communications, where she led the digital team, and has also worked at Ketchum and Syneos Health. Choda will report to partner Lucy McGettigan and has a brief to expand the agency’s digital and social portfolio, which includes clients such as Duolingo, WWE and OVO.
GLASGOW — Perceptive Communicators has made two appointments, with biotech, medtech and pharmaceuticals specialist Sophie Newington joining from Weber Shandwick as communications consultant and Jack Hope appointed to a newly created public affairs and public relations manager role. Hope previously worked in the UK and Scottish parliaments.
BIRMINGHAM, UK — A decade after joining PR and content agency Reeves Media as an account executive, Matt Walker has returned as managing director, taking over from founder Clive Reeves, who moves into the role of CEO. For the past five years, Walker has worked in senior communications roles in the built environment, property and construction sector.
