Asia-based PR and communications agency Companion Communications has been named as the regional agency for Fairmont Hotels & Resorts. The remit will be for one year, it told PRovoke Media.
Companion will oversee public relations, marketing communications, strategic advisory, storytelling, partnerships, content creation, and crisis support for Fairmont Hotels & Resorts in the Asian region.
"Companion leverages local knowledge and deep industry insights to give clients a competitive edge," said Dominique Backhouse, managing director of Companion. "We are thrilled to continue working with Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, launching the brand’s new campaign this year and supporting the group globally, with a focus on key and exciting expansion into Asia this year.”
Backhouse added that Companion is thrilled to have partnered with Fairmont Hotels & Resorts at a time of huge growth at brand and property level for them.
"We have a deep understanding of the Asian regional markets and are looking forward to rolling out a number of impactful campaigns," she said.
Founded in 2019, Companion offers a senior-led approach to communications, specialising in the travel, dining, and property industries.
With offices in Hong Kong and Singapore, the agency brings together expertise across strategic public relations, corporate communications, content development, and social media.
The news comes shortly after Fairmont's sister brand Raffles Hotels & Resorts opened Raffles Sentosa Singapore, the country’s first all-villa resort.
