The “multi-year, multi-million dollar” contract covers the development and execution of national health education campaigns and initiatives, including formative research and strategic planning; social, paid, and earned media; digital marketing; and direct stakeholder engagement.

Hager Sharp has worked with FDA CFSAN since 2018. The agency’s work has included Informational campaigns around new nutritional facts labels, agricultural biotechnology, calorie counts and diet supplements.

“The post-Covid era has elevated both the understanding and appreciation of the critical link between nutrition, food safety, and good health. Additionally, the current inflation crisis and resulting changes to people’s food budgets have a meaningful impact on Americans’ perceived ability to eat healthy,” said Katherine Nicol, executive VP and head of the Hager Sharp’s health practice. “FDA CFSAN has a tremendous opportunity to inform, educate, and effect positive behavior change when it comes to food and nutrition, and we are excited to continue to support those efforts at this critical time.”
