MILAN — Strategic communications firm FGS Global has hired former Juventus Football Club chief corporate affairs and external communications officer Claudio Albanese as a senior advisor.

Albanese (pictured) oversaw all the Italian football club’s media, political and digital activities, as well as ESG strategies, for 13 years until this summer.

Before joining Juventus, in 2006 he established Carlobruno&associati, where he was partner and CEO, advising Italian and international companies including Deutsche Bank, JPMorgan Chase, Nokia Telecommunications, AC Milan, AIG Lincoln and Google.

Earlier in his career, Albanese also worked for Italian PR agency Bonaparte 48 for nearly nine years.

FGS Global partner Joachim Koschnicke, who is head of the firm’s global practice for government affairs, policy and advocacy, said: “Claudio will help us to further strengthen our presence in the world of sport. We have exciting sports mandates around the world and see great potential to explore the intersection with our existing offerings. Claudio is obviously not limited to the sport-sector but also capable beyond.”
