LONDON — FleishmanHillard Fishburn’s brand team has won the UK PR account for global retail brand Build-A-Bear, and has hired Lesley Anderson as brand marketing director to lead the account.
Anderson joins from Ogilvy, where she was an associate director. She has also worked for Taylor Herring, Freuds and Porter Novelli, on brands including Google, TK Maxx and Bacardi.
FleishmanHillard Fishburn is tasked with building the US-based Fortune 100 retailer’s brand awareness in the UK, where it has more than 50 Build-A Bear Workshop stores in which children can create their own tailor-made stuffed toy.
The brief includes running the Build-A-Bear UK press office, offering PR support for key calendar moments such as National Teddy Bear Day, National Hug Day and Christmas, and profiling Build-A-Bear CEO Sharon Price John in the UK media.
Anderson will report to Lauren Winter, FHF’s head of brand and consumer marketing EMEA. She said: “Lesley is a top talent bringing brilliant expertise to the team. She is a natural born editor who understands the media landscape boosting the London consumer practice as we continue to grow our roster of stellar brand names.”
FleishmanHillard Fishburn’s lifestyle and leisure clients include Crocs, Singapore Airlines and Krispy Kreme.
